Case #1
28 year old female. Top complaints: abdominal cramping, thinning hair, brittle nails, falling asleep at the wheel, bloating/gas with every meal, diarrhea, low libido, concentration issues, extreme fatigue, occasional constipation
We ran a GI Map & MRT Food Sensitivity Test
Here's what we found:
Parasite
Ties to symptoms of cramps, diarrhea, nausea, gas, and foul-smelling stool
Bacterial Pathogen
Ties to symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, fever, chills, fatigue, and abdominal cramping.
Overgrowth
High Enterococcus faecium, Steptococcus, and Methanobacteriaceae... connecting to her symptoms of gas, diarrhea, constipation, and IBS symptoms.
Indicate possible low stomach acid....which connects to nutrient deficiencies that can lead to symptoms like brittle nails.
23 Food Sensitivities
Several food sensitivities indicate a) leaky gut b) sources of inflammation
All of this exacerbates her symptoms, busies her immune system, and adds to her inability to concentrate and increases her fatigue.
The High Level of the Protocol We Designed
-
Diet
We recommended this client go gluten free during her protocol, given wheat was a yellow food on her MRT. We gave her our classic method for removing and reintegrating MRT foods, and encouraged blood sugar balancing meals. This client frequently skipped breakfast, so we helped her add that back in.
-
Rest
This client had a very busy work schedule and was not making down time for herself. We stressed the importance of allowing her body down regulate and come into a parasympathetic state, and gave ample suggestions of how to encourage this to happen
-
Movement
Given this client's high stress work, and the toll it was taking on her already stressed and depleted body, we switched her gym workouts to yoga, pilates, and walking while she rebuilt stamina to get through the simple parts of her days.
-
Stress
We supported this client's stress response with an array of wearables and herbs. She was honest she probably wouldn't stick to meditation, so she implemented a breathing practice and a gratitude journal.
-
Supplements
This client started on an eradication protocol to remove both the giardia and shigella/E.coli — we pair this with a binder to help the body expel the toxins these interlopers release when they die.
During the eradication protocol, she was also on our most recommended probiotic and prebiotic to help maintain the good bacteria levels she had, while rebalancing her overgrowths.
-
Phase Two
On retest, this client had a clean first page on her GI Map — no more shigella or giardia, but she had an additional opportunistic bacteria, meaning, we may have helped reveal a biofilm layer — so we continued the rebalancing components of her protocol, and supported her liver as it processes these high levels of bacteria coming out of the body.
This client is Nicole, featured on our homepage
She was one of our first clients in 2022! After her third retest, and nearly a year of working together, she had her energy back, her hair regrowing, no digestion issues, and quit her job in favor of something she felt was more aligned with how she wanted to live.
Additional Testing
Because Nicole had such extreme symptoms, she agreed it would be wise to run a blood panel, too. That's where we were able to order markers for her that her endocrinologist wouldn't, and how we found out that her thyroid needed support, too. Below is her final GI Map retest.
No Parasite
This reduces the stress load on her body, freeing up iron and other minerals, while reducing toxic waste and lowering immune response.
No Bacterial Pathogen
This reduces the stress load on her body, freeing up iron and other nutrients and lowering immune response.
No Overgrowth
Less inflammation, constipation, diarrhea, and gas!
